End of August Update
Happy end of August, everyone! The month has flown by here at Ticuto HQ, and we’re excited to push out another update mainly focused on QoL and expanding existing features/items.
To preface this post, the new Hubble quests will be releasing the weekend of Sept. 5 to allow for additional testing. Sorry for the slight delay, but we’re wanting the new quests to be as bug-free as can be! Now, let’s jump into the new stuff!
New Features

- Extra options for sound effects and music are coming soon! A new slider is being introduced to allow you to better specify how loud you’d like the sounds in Ticuto.
- Wallpaper items now have a new tutorial that can be viewed from the inventory. See it for yourself by clicking the new i button shown from the item description in the inventory.
- Many items now have new rotations or modifications to make them a little more fun. For example, sand and stardust can now be picked up in public spaces, and wooden sticks (renamed from wood) now have an alternative look in some places!
- New space backgrounds and featured icon backgrounds have been added to the database. These, along with the others already implemented, will be made available to everyone in a future update.
- A new bulletin board quest has been added! If you’re at least level 4 and have completed many of the other bulletin board quests, see if you can grab it!

Changes
- 25+ Items have had their descriptions updated. Most of these changes effect items with effects or tools, and now better explain their interactivity.
- Some items, incl
- 14 Tutorial pop-ups have been updated with images, shortened descriptions, and updated information. They should be easier to read and easier to understand with the pictures!
- The old Time Crystal island quest and quest to unlock Astralei is now temporarily removed. As a reminder, this is in preparation for the new quests and Astralei updates coming soon. More information on the Astralei updates will be provided once the new quests are live.
- Tutorial popups now include pictures and more condensed information. This should make them easier to read and provide more helpful information.
- The new player tutorial quest flow has been modified. There is now less text on screen at a given time and the tasks are more straightforward. Astra will move slower in Hubble Town and Dr. Tuto is made less chatty. Overall, it should be less overwhelming for new players!
Fixes
- Geoff’s Stockrooms space has been fixed – thanks Alex for the report!
- Dialog from the Hubble Town Hall receptionists have been updated to avoid recursive dialog trees.
- Cotton can no longer have items stacked on top of itself.
- Fixed issue with Iron Pickaxe not displaying tutorial button in inventory.
What’s Coming Soon
Jason is hard at work on the UI – expect news on this soon, or take a peek at our Discord channel for weekly development updates for information on this! Improvements to in-space sounds, such as footsteps and other sound effects, will now be based on proximity to your character. You’ll no longer hear people from across the room walking around!
A new questline focused on Clementine Farm is being planned – this should be released during the fall.
Discussion about seasonal activities is underway – we’ll have more to share starting in October!

Thanks for reading, and of course let us know if you have any feedback!
