🌟 Important Announcement 🌟

In the coming weeks, we’ll be resetting the game as we prepare for the next phase of our beta journey. Here’s what’s changing and what’s staying:

🔄 What will be reset:

Gold, items, and quests on player accounts

What will NOT be reset:

  • Gold earned from events or competitions
  • Badges
  • Achievements
  • Spaces created
  • Promotional items won (e.g., Christmas Advent Calendar items and gold)
  • Spaces visited
  • Friends list
  • Experience and Levels

Why Are We Doing a Reset?

As we approach the next phase of the game, we’re doing a reset to ensure a balanced and fair experience for all players. Here’s why:

1️⃣ Leveling the Playing Field: Prices for items and rewards have significantly changed during development. A reset ensures all players start fresh under the same conditions.

2️⃣ New Additions: We’ve introduced new items, updated quest rewards, and added exciting content that aligns with the game’s progression.

3️⃣ Content Rework: Some items have been removed or reworked to better fit the evolving gameplay.

This reset lets us streamline and polish the game for the best experience while maintaining the integrity of key achievements like event rewards and promotional items.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share it with you! 🎮

We’ll share more details and an exact date soon. Thank you for your support as we gear up for this exciting milestone! 🎉

Opinion – Achievement Visibility

Shape Ticuto by providing your opinion!

The Question: Should achievements in-game remain hidden until they are unlocked, or should they be visible beforehand? If visible before they unlock, should some or all achievement information be displayed?

Background: Ticuto currently has a system where all achievements are hidden until they are unlocked. This provides players with no way to play towards achievements in-game and most achievement unlocks are by chance or accidental. While a sense of mystery and wonder may be good for some players, others may find it confusing. One opinion is that if achievements were displayed prior to unlocking them, it could give players a goal to play towards. Another opinion is that if they are displayed, secret mechanics or the sense of mystery may disappear.

Voting ends end of August 31. All players that vote will become eligible for a prize given out at the end of this poll.

Opinion – Achievement Quantity

Shape Ticuto by providing your opinion!

The Question: How important of a role should achievements play in Ticuto? Should Ticuto have a lot, more, a few, or less achievements than what we have now? Numbers provided in poll options would be based on existing features and collected statistics and would expand as tracked stats and features expand.

Background: Ticuto currently has less than 40 achievements, most focused on trackable statistics. Roughly half focus on fishing in some way (catch a species or rarity of fish). If encouraged, we could add “milestone” achievements – achievements that unlock at stat milestones (Buy 100/500/1000 items). We also have many more statistics that we can add achievements for. On the other hand, we can look to reduce existing “milestone” achievements and the amount of fishing achievements in game if the poll were to go that way.
